My most recent collection titled “Urban Inkscapes” is currently
on display at Blackbird Coffee and More in Brighton.
The title of the exhibition is a wordplay of the term “Urban Landscapes”,
combined with the medium used to create the artwork.
The subject of landscapes was my choice for the Inktober 2018 challenge
during which I was completing one art piece, every day for the month of October.
I created 31 new pieces inspired by locations in some of the European cities that I had visited during the last few years.
While exploring the inspiring urban atmospheres of streets in these magnificent cities,
I was absorbing the vibe of each place, and expressed it on paper.
A selection of 10 pieces is now on display at Blackbird Coffee and More
The café is located in the heart of Brighton where unique “specialist” coffee is served.
You can combine your visit to my exhibition with an outstanding cup of filter coffee that is expertly prepared by the owners.
The original artwork is available for purchase at jamesdoe.bigcartel.com.
See you around.
